Event Details

This year is the 30th anniversary of the Environmental Protection Administration. During these decades it has done much important work. The EPA has established an integral legal framework for areas such as air, water, waste management and soil and groundwater. In its earlier years, through environmental cooperation programs with advanced countries, the EPA introduced management systems and technologies which served as important references for our government policies.

Now, as a responsible member of the global village, the EPA shares Taiwan’s own experience to assist developing countries. Minister Lee will speak to AmCham members about the EPA’s current priorities, including waste recycling, marine debris clean-up, the International Environmental Partnership, environmental inspection and environmental law enforcement. He will also speak about how the power of Taiwan’s citizens in the area of environmental endeavors can provide win-win solutions for both business and the environment.
