2018 AmCham Taipei Digital Travel & Tourism Workshop


Asia is the fastest-growing market for travel and tourism, an industry that contributes nearly 10% of the world's GDP and jobs, and is rapidly changing in the digital age. Domestically, Taiwan's travel and tourism market is also undergoing structural changes, in response to which the government has launched the Tourism 2020 plan, seeking to diversify the market and bring the inbound arrival total to 11.4 million by the year 2020.


In light of the above and, with the aim of gathering key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to come up with innovative solutions to meet Taiwan's strategic tourism and travel objectives in the digital age, the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (AmCham Taipei) is slated to organize a forum co-sponsored by Agoda, KAYAK, and the Taiwan Hotel & Cultural Industry Association (THCIA) in Taipei on Dec. 3, 2018.
