The United States, Japan and ten other Pacific economies signed the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement in February. Even before it takes effect, TPP has evoked strong emotions both in the United States and in Taiwan, if not a lot of clear-headed analysis. Some of the questions are clear, even if the answers aren't:
- Is TPP really going to happen?
- Is Taiwan ready?
- Should I care?
Paul Cassingham will introduce the basics of TPP, describe its likely consequences for the Taiwan government and Taiwan business, and provide an update on its prospects for approval by the United States.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
