Event Details

Taiwan faces several big challenges in its electricity system today. In order to help solve these problems, it needs new and innovative sources of energy. Demand Response (DR) is part of the solution. DR is a “virtual power plant” that offers a clean, reliable, cost-effective way to meet electricity demand during critical times of the year.

Taiwan Power intends to invest in building significant new DR resources in 2017, and this creates a financial opportunity for commercial and industrial businesses. Qualified businesses should soon have an opportunity to become part of these new DR resources, which will allow them to earn money by agreeing to temporarily reduce their electricity usage during periods of peak demand or other grid issues.

This session will cover:
· an introduction to Demand Response,
· an overview of how businesses from different industries can participate and earn money from DR,
· a review of the current reforms in Taiwan that will soon open this new opportunity,
· and a discussion of the timeline and process for how qualified businesses can participate..

This is a FREE event for members and non-members!
